Report: European Commission suggests Russian oil price limit of $60
MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- The European Commission has asked the E.U. states to approve a Russian oil price ceiling at U.S. $60 per barrel, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday citing sources.
The negotiations on the issue may continue and the countries may agree on a different level, but the $60 price received approval from many of the participants, and the authority sees an agreement on it possible.
The European states suspended discussing the price limit for Russia on November 25, because some of them believe that the proposed threshold of $65-70 per barrel is too generous. Poland then offered to set the limit at $30, and the decision was supported by Ukraine.
